Siren Song
By Chloe Mackay
The saccharine song of sirens
proves far too tempting to resist.
Even the hardiest of men
are swept up into the bowels
of the ocean, on the fateful
occasion they stumble into
the path of sirens in song.
.
Their music is soft and sweet;
It tickles the ears of sailors
as they are tempered to dust.
.
And as they sink, and sink, and sink,
their gold all turns to rust.
