This evening, My House Durham announced the formal closure of the Loveshack nightclub, popular among Durham students for the past decade.
The company announced the official closure of its nightclub on their Facebook page, saying: “It is with a heavy heart that we are writing to inform you that Loveshack and My House are now closed.
“We are in the process of selling the business and would like to thank all team members for their efforts and enthusiasm over the years.”
The owners of the nightclub, which was known for its popular Wednesday night hostings from 10pm-2am, are now looking to sell the establishment.
The announcement stated: “Looking forward, we wish the new owners the best of luck for the future.”
Beatrice Mather Cosgrove, a Hild Bede second year, said of the closure: “There are lots of other nightclubs in Durham that are more popular, but I’ve had some fun memories there and I’ll be sad to see it go.”
