Durham’s premier student cinema goes back in time

Bede Film Soc

by Phil M. Soc

One of the major downsides to Durham is its cinema choice. With the Gala’s two screens taken up with unexciting films for weeks on end, to get to see the latest, greatest films is nigh on impossible.

But fear not. Bede Film Soc is back with another bumper term of films, including Oscars’ greats, cheery comedies and everything inbetween.

We’re also proud to announce the 90’s Week. For three nights, we will show some of the best cinema the nineties had to offer. From the childhood joys of Toy Story to the whip sharp dialogue of Pulp Fiction to the emotive horror of The Shawnshank Redemptiontion, there really is something for everyone. Now is your chance to see some of the best films from the nineties on the biggest screen in Durham. If you’ve only ever seen them on a small screen, you haven’t seen them at all.

Toy Story – Tues 4th June

The Shawshank Redemption – Wed 5th June

Pulp Fiction – Thurs 6th June

See the either Toy Story or The Shawshank Redemption and get Pulp Fiction half price! See both and get entry to Pulp Fiction absolutely free!
