Want to be a DIVA?

11 May 2012

By Catherine Bradfield

Calling all girls!!

DIVA 100 is a women-only charity bike ride in aid of Action Medical Research, a charity dedicated to stopping the suffering of babies and children through disease and disability. The DIVA100 series was launched by Davina McCall, a great supporter of Action Medical Research, in 2011 and saw more than 500 women of all abilities taking part, raising more than £95,000. This year there are three rides in Sussex (13th May), Scotland (20th May)and Warwickshire (27th May) with each DIVA100 offering a choice of two circular countryside routes, a 100k challenge or a shorter 50k course for those looking to take it a bit easier.  With mechanics on hand to help with technical difficulties and well-stocked rest stops where you can re-fuel, rest assured that you will be well looked after every inch of the way.

Davina will be taking part herself in the Sussex DIVA100 and encourages you to get together a girlie group to raise as much money as possible and have a great day out all in the name of a great charity, whether you want to set yourself the challenge of 100k in the saddle or not!
