Rugby league charity event coming soon
Durham University Rugby League and Popolo are proud to announce the inaugural ‘Campus of Origin’ match.
On Friday June 8th, representative sides from Durham and Queen’s Campus will make history by playing in an exciting winner-takes-all rugby league match, marking the first time in the university’s history that the sport of rugby league will be played below university level.
The fixture will be played in support of the Lymphoma Association; a charity close to the hearts of DURL members that provides support for anyone affected by lymphatic cancer.
Tickets cost £2 and can be bought on the gate or in advance from any of the representative players.
The match will be held at Maiden Castle sports ground, kicking off at 7.30pm on the rubber crumb pitch and is proudly sponsored by Popolo, Durham.
Celebrate the end of exams, support a worthy cause and witness a spectacular exhibition of rugby league all in one evening.
