Have you ever thought about a career in publishing?

The publishing industry is a difficult industry to break into without practical experience and insider knowledge.

Collingwood alumna Dr Leah Tether, now a lecturer in Publishing at Anglia Ruskin University, is returning to the college to give an intensive day course in editing and a talk on how to get into the fiercely competitive publishing industry.

The careers talk will be held in Collingwood’s Penthouse Suite at 2.30 to 3.30pm on Friday 8th June. It is free and open to all, with no need to book a place.

The editing course, running from 9am – 2pm on Friday 8th June, costs £35 for Collingwood students, and £50 for other students, with spaces limited to 20 students.  Topics to be covered include grammar for editors, using proofreading marks, and copy-editing, substantive editing and proofreading.
