Have you ever thought about a career in publishing?

The publishing industry is a difficult industry to break into without practical experience and insider knowledge.

Collingwood alumna Dr Leah Tether, now a lecturer in Publishing at Anglia Ruskin University, is returning to the college to give an intensive day course in editing and a talk on how to get into the fiercely competitive publishing industry.

The careers talk will be held in Collingwood’s Penthouse Suite at 2.30 to 3.30pm on Friday 8^th June. It is free and open to all, with no need to book a place.

The editing course, running from 9am – 2pm on Friday 8^th June, costs £35 for Collingwood students, and £50 for other students, with spaces limited to 20 students.  Topics to be covered include grammar for editors, using proofreading marks, and copy-editing, substantive editing and proofreading.
