Get a summer internship at a top marketing agency!

10 April 2012

by Amy Sandiford-Watts

Applications are now open for marketing agency Karma Communications Group’s summer internship scheme, run in partnership with studentbeans.com.

The Karma Communications group combines Karmarama, one of the UK’s most highly regarded independent advertising agencies, and voted number 11 in the 2012 Sunday Times top 100 Best Small Companies to work for, with Crayon group, the leading UK-based digital communications agency.

The eight week internship will run from 9th July to 31st August and take place at the group’s four agencies, Karmarama, Kream, Kaper and Crayon. It will introduce participants, known as ‘Karma Kadets’, to a range of marketing disciplines including advertising, production, creative, planning, PR, research and data. Each intern will be assigned an Account Management mentor to support them in the placement and offer advice on any wider industry-related queries.

Applicants have until 4th May to submit a strategy and creative plan to answer the brief ‘How would you make studentbeans.com the number one internet destination for young people?’.

The group are looking for three ‘ambitious, innovative and interesting’ candidates, who will be selected based on their response to the brief. Responses may be submitted using any media platform – from a 140 character tweet to a photograph, video, or PowerPoint presentation.  A fourth candidate will be recruited through the IPA Ad School programme, which gives students the opportunity to work at London advertising and marketing communications agencies over the summer.

A full time entry-level position will be offered to one candidate at the end of the programme; previous summer interns have gone on to become account executives and production runners.
